Paton Development has returned to Gorse Hill for phase two, the new build development of the state of the art business centre. The full refurbishment of the beautiful, hundred-year-old, former mansion house began in the summer and Paton were delighted to be asked to construct phase two of the Gorse Hill re-development plan.
This beautiful Surrey residence is undertaking a huge £4m development, including the new conference centre, which is being built in the grounds to complement the existing style of the main house. The plan is to also increase the number of bedrooms and create a modern a la carte restaurant and bar, together with guest leisure and gym facilities, bringing the property into the 21st Century.
The classic and beautiful decor was restored to bring a fresh, contemporary look to the property, but not to deter from the traditional manner in which the house was originally designed.
Having a venue such as this in Woking, Surrey will bring a whole host of new visitors to this venue. The beautiful restoration and refurbishment of this property, along with the conference facility now allows for larger business meetings, conferences, weddings and social events offering something many venues of this nature do not – an intimate and homely feeling with a modern touch.
With 16 completely customisable meeting rooms to choose from, the fully equipped event spaces are awash in natural light and combine a relaxing country atmosphere with modern amenities to help organisations to reach their business goals.
The Hotel will offer local and national businesses ease of planning with the help of flexible events spaces, a dedicated event host, an unbeatable location, with dining and catering options tailored to the most demanding of requirements.
Paton were pleased to be returning for the second phase of this development project, seeing such a transformation take place has been a fantastic experience. Being trusted with the restoration of such a prestigious property, whilst being involved in the contrast of the modern development of the business centre, has made this project a truly individual one to undertake.
Having been involved in many restorative projects and bringing an eclectic mix of traditional and modern, is something we at Paton pride ourselves on. We have been trusted with returning to many properties for furthering their development and hope to continue working with this, and many other local hotels in the future.
