Paton Developments were appointed to refurbish and refresh the beautiful mansion, now Hotel, designed by the architect Edward Warren, who was best known for designing churches and parts of Oxford College.

The master plan for bringing the property back to its former glory also included a new conference centre building, renovation and refurbishment of the reception, bar, restaurants, customer lounge, gym and corridors.
